PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Bob Goodman, P.E.

John Portman & Associates; 1974-1976: Design engineer on large, complex multi-use structures such as the Los Angeles Bonaventure Hotel and the Renaissance Center in Detroit, Michigan. Work included analysis and design of major portions of braced and unbraced frames composed of reinforced and prestressed concrete, mild and high strength steels. Experience included extensive exposure to seismic design codes and criteria.

Stevens & Wilkinson; Architects & Engineers; 1976-1979: Project Engineer responsible for the analysis, design and production of working drawings for several large institutional and retail structures, large portions of the Atlanta Airport Mid-Field Terminal, and the Atlanta Central Library.

Goodman Engineering; 1979-2005: Principal Engineer. Designs included the use of structural steel, both hot and cold rolled; reinforced, precast, prestressed and post-tensioned concrete, composite high strength steel and concrete, masonry, heavy and light timber, glue-laminated wood, aluminum, fiberglass, long-span roofs, and floors, braced and unbraced frames, shear wall interaction, shallow or floating foundations, and deep foundations.
